CONTRACTOR HIRING TIPS
"Some of us will do our
jobs well and some will not - we will be judged by only one thing, the result.".....Vince Lombardi
Hiring a contractor to do work can be stressful because installing or repairing your
asphalt is a financial investment. Eliminate your stress and protect that investment by considering "more than the dollar amount" before
you decide on the next Contractor
to hire. Here are some things we'd like you to consider to help
you make your decision.

Adequate Insurance
Make sure the Contractor
is completely insured without any lapse in coverage. Ask the Contractor for a Certificate of Insurance showing evidence of
their insurance limits for General Liability, Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto Coverage.
► Request Certificate
of Insurance

Proper
Licensing
Make
sure the Contractor has a license in good standing with the California Contractor's State License Board. The Contractor should
also be licensed in the their city of operation, and in the city of the project location.

Customer References for Workmanship
The contractor should be able to provide you a list of
jobs completed in your area to give you an example of their workmanship for the type of work being performed. The contractor
should also be able to provide a list of references from past satisfied customers.
► Check Customer Comments
► View Completed Projects
|
Written Proposal and Contract
The Contractor should provide you a written
Proposal & Contract which should include a clear description of the work to be performed and cost for the work. ► Request our Written Estimate
|
Warranty
The Contractor
should be able to provide their warranty in writing. The Contractor should have business longevity, because let's face it,
warranties are only as good as the company offering it.
